Special classes can be taught to your students in order to improve their grades. As you improve the rank of your school, more special classes become available. All special classes cost research points, and indicate the subjects that should see an increase in grade points. However, special classes are subject to the law of diminishing returns. When a student’s subject grade is far away from the maximum, the more expensive classes will add the most points. However, as they get closer to the maximum value, the amount of grade points added by the expensive classes diminishes rapidly. As such, all the special classes are useful to a certain extent, as the expensive classes give the most stat points when students have lower grades, whereas the cheaper classes are more cost effective once a student is close to maximizing a grade.
